Here we are again.

Hectivity, is a term I came up with, it's basically an activity that keeps you really busy and hectis, thus the word "Hectivity". Thankfully, hectivity has passed. I've managed to complete all my assignments in time and in one piece but not without a few bruises and scars to show off. Makes you wonder, what assignments am I talking about. =p

Been catching up on my game. Plants VS Zombies. Now is the time, waste my time.

Looking for a part time job. Any recommendation? My semester break is around 2 months +, actually it's close to 3 months. Need to get away from something. I had had it, no one seems to understand(typically phrase of a teenager, I know right).

No matter how hard I try, it's never enough. I'm never going to be good enough, am I?

Life has its ups and downs. Mine has been in the downs lately. Can one take a break from being oneself? You know like, not be yourself.

You know, maybe that's what I'll do, take a break from being myself. =)

Butcher's Pie and Blueberry Cheesecake.

Made blueberry cheesecake. Now I know why cheesecakes cost so much. The whole cake came up to around RM50++. Let's just round it up to RM60. I did not weigh the cake so I do know how much a slice would cost.

I was in charged of dinner so I decided to make Shepherd's Pie but since lamb would be more costly then pork so I decided to make Butcher's Pie instead. Get it? Butcher's Pie? Because I used pork instead of lamb?
=)

Whole family managed to wallop more than half which was more than I expected them to finish.
Am glad though. The cheesecake was a success too. Even though I do not eat cheese, it's nice seeing them enjoy.

I have been up to my nose the past week. Now it's time to lay back with my feet up, just for this weekend. Am really glad there's the Deepavali holiday.

Today, I am torn between making pear crumble, cheesecake again(since my sister's complained that the last batch I made wasn't enough), chocolate banana cake or chocolate chip cookies.

So, dear readers, if there are any out there, please leave me some comments to help me solve my dilemma.

Adios!

Super-woman or super-maniac?

Remember that I said I outdid myself in the last post? Well forget about that, I think this definitely beat that. Either I was out of my mind or I was just running on adrenaline or some weird fuel. Let me start the story from the beginning. Will try to keep it as short and simple as possible.

Woke up at 8-ish to go to the market with daddy. Bought some stuff, came home, went out again to buy groceries and vegetables for lunch. Prepared and cooked lunch almost single handedly, but sis came to the rescue. After lunch, washed up, and then bathed the 3 dogs, went out again to buy ingredients for dinner, had planned to make shepherd's pie and bake cheesecake. Ran around, searched for ingredient, came home, prepared for dinner, ate dinner, washed up and started preparing for dessert. =)

Pictures of cheesecake will be up soon. It's still in the oven, baking. Hope it turns out well, I even bought expensive blueberry topping for this. =)

Happy salivating!

Photo explosion. To make up for the long absence.

Ok, remember the post about my sis's birthday, well this is part of the continuation. The later pictures are some of my baking mania. So, please do sit back, relax and oh, do remember to tie a napkin around your neck, pictures may cause excessive salivation. XD

After Chrissie's birthday dinner in Brotzeit, we walked around Mid Valley in search of the perfect dessert. After the heavy meat fest, something sweet to cleanse our palate was the perfect ending for the happy celebration. We had wanted to try Chili's famous Molten Chocolate cake but fate seem to toy with us. Or with me to be exact, because up until now, I have not tried it.

So we decided to try something different, we went to JENG JENG JENG...

ALEXIS!!!

We ordered renowned Tiramisu and Banofee pie. Correct me if I'm mistaken but I think Banofee is actually banana, and toffee. =)

Banofee pie!

The famous tiramisu with straberry sauce.
(The birthday gal thought it was chili sauce.)

Little cubes of sugar which I find so absolutely fascinating. =0
In a way, it made me feel very sophisticated, like in those Audrey Hepburn movies, you know, a cup of tea with 2 cubes of sugar please.

I could not resist, I had to eat one.

Not the whole thing though, just chewed at the sides. =)

3 jungle girls, easily fascinated.

My bored youngest sister and I.

Just because I look thin here. Teehee.

Same.

And now presenting, Baking Mania!!!

CONTESTANT NO.1

CONTESTANT NO.2

I really outdid myself that day. I baked 2 chocolate cakes and made apple crumble.
One of the cake was for Pip's birthday. =)

Mum asked me to do something with her many-months-old apples lying at the bottom of the refrigerator.

What better option than to make apple crumble? Simple and delicious.

Almond center chocolate coated chocolate cake. (Just to make it sound fancy.)

Nice looking glaze ain't it? =D

Enjoy!

Might make pear crumble next as there are lots of pears in the fridge now.

Check it out yo!

The grand young lady in Brotzeit.

PORK FEAST! BEWARE!!!

This is a long overdue post, a post about my third sister's birthday! She turned 18 on the 1st of October! =)

As usual, she has the most cakes on her birthday. I baked a chocolate cake and dad decided that we would celebrate her birthday there and then. Though it was meant to be a joke, we did sing a birthday song for her.

It was Trixie's idea to surprise her with a dinner in Brotzeit. Brotzeit, a German beer bar and restaurant located in Mid Valley serves a very wide range of you guessed it, PORK!

Ranging from the pork knuckle, sausages so stuffed and large it made you full just by looking at them.
The first bite into the succulent and thick sausage had me overcome with emotion as I was swept away by a wave of juiciness and aromatic garlic flavor of the garlic sausage, the tender meat that fell of the bone of the rib, bacon slices with layers of fat and meat at equal ratio, thick and juicy, the big chunks of meat from the pork knuckle with 2 side dishes of saurkraut and potato salad.

Let's just say, I couldn't look at another pork dish for a week. =D

Before the food arrived, we were served some good authentic German beer, but, as I am more of a wine/liquor drinker, I found the 4 different types of beer the same. I did notice the different taste but all left me feeling slightly ill as I do not like the taste of beer.
